Feos

Feos é um projeto de um rapaz chamado Jason Roumkos, de 20 anos de idade e originário da Alemanha, tendo sido criado em Abril/2008, pelo que parece. Até aí, nada de especial... até que as músicas começam a exalar dos auto-falantes e você repara o quão especial é sua música!

Pode-se dizer que o Feos segue a linha que tem começado a ganhar algum destaque mundialmente, que une as atmosferas gélidas e soturnas Black Metal às atmosferas plácidas e celestiais do Post-Rock e Shoegaze, seguindo aquela linha que o Alcest em seu Souvernis D'un Autre Monde e o Amesoeurs em Ruines Humaines criaram há um pouco mais de 1 ano e encantaram muitas pessoas (eu, por exemplo) pela criatividade e as dimensões de sentimentos que suas músicas conseguiam produzir. Percebo também que alguns trechos de suas músicas me fazem lembrar de jesu (na fase mais "old") e até Burzum na época do Filosofem, além de Caïna, Fen, Wolves In The Throne Room, e o já citado Alcest.

Digo também que, por ser o primeiro trabalho de um projeto ainda tão novo, a produção ainda não está tão excelente (mas ainda assim, está num nível bem razoável) e alguns momentos não são assim tão brilhantes. Mas é impossível não reparar que existe no Feos um potencial incrível e ele pode ser transformado em álbuns antológicos em questão de pouco tempo, então simplesmente não podia deixar passar. The 20-year-old Jason Roumkos from the beautiful Saarland in Germany shows here for me as Black Metal should sound. Already in the first round has convinced me Katastasi, and is better at every time. A very good mix. Very nice Black Metal passages, which repeatedly from ambient and acoustic guitars and is pervaded by the beginning of a very high-Burzum influence may be inferred. The postal rock influence is also partly to hear, but it is within bounds and keep the focus on sound structure remains murky. Atmospheres are to be made and you should be the music "feel" instead of thinking about it. Each song has something for himself and is fundamentally different, but always keeps an on the same Hörniveau. The intervals between the songs were somewhat larger productions, as usual, although I considered very good influence on the overall dynamic look, so easy because of exchange between the emotions but also the current musical influences are more positive than negative impact on the whole.
The names of the titles are all Greek and clarify Jason roots. Feos means something like God. Katastasi means condition. Both together, arises a god status. God state because Jason Feos by the possibility sees the world as present as he sees it and learns.
